A review from a new friend!!!

A good time is had by all

After our trials during the day, yesterday, we dine at the hotel Kyma with Nikos and his family of Sophia, Maria & Waga. They have rooms and Sopia & Maria’s cooking is to die for.

The house red flowed as always and was supplemented by copious amounts of ouzo & the local hootch. Wonderful mussel saganaki, excellent service & wonderful friendly people. Thank you.

The dingy ride back was rather precarious with screams of anxiety mixed with shrieks of laughter echoing around the bay. Heads a bit crunchy in the morning.read more

~Be our guest~

Welcome to Hotel Kyma...
Follow us up the stairs and choose a room on the first floor or go up to the second floor...

Take a look inside.
Clean and cosy!
We have 5 two-bed rooms and one three-bed room.

We try to consume as less energy as possible by providing basic services like a small fridge and a roof fan in every room. (You will find no TV or air conditioner!!!)

It's a pet friendly hotel and if you have a small companion let us know before your arrival so we can find the right spot for you...
Now... open the shutters and make a step outside to the balcony...Here you can enjoy your tea or coffee in the morning or your wine in the evening...

A very good place to hear and see the fishermen leaving in the afternoon and arriving early in the morning bringing fresh fishes to supply the markets from Volos and sometimes farther to Thessaloniki. A great opportunity to find out about tradition, cultural impact, about history and Greek life.

And here of curse you will have the best change to taste how Greek mothers cook.
Come down and take your dinner or simply drink a tsipouro like Greeks do.
Sophie's meals will be a daily
''must have'' for you.
She cooks for the guests as she cooks for her family.
Secret ingredient for the last 30 years has been love and passion...
And you will meet Niko... her husband, her life. He is a very open person and will serve you with politeness and kindness as only a maitre can, he also will give you with temperament a small talk about Greece, the years he spent in Germany, politics, history you want to know, the crisis and of course about his...
two daughters!!!

Hope to meet you soon!!!
